Originally coined by Revolutionary War hero General John Stark who many believe was inspired by Patrick Henry’s famous “Liberty or Death” speech, the phrase Live Free or Die unequivocally sends a message about our nation’s founding values. We treasure our freedom above all else.
Today, this belief is under attack, as fewer and fewer people are willing to sacrifice anything to ensure that the liberties that we have been granted remain in place, while our politicians continue to chip away at our freedoms in order to bolster their own hold on power.
And that is why those of us that have the strength to fight – the will to stand in harms way - are so important. We’ve seen the worst of humanity. We know what it looks like to be a population controlled – to not have jurisdiction over one’s own life. And we will not allow that to happen at home.
Freedom is fragile. Hundreds, if not thousands, of great revolutions have occurred throughout the world. Many have carried this very motto – Live Free or Die – and yet our country delivers the truest set of personal freedoms seen anywhere in the course of mankind.
This gift has not come lightly and we must fight to ensure the sacrifices of those that came before us do not go in vain. Because at the end of the day, what good would any of it be if we were simply slaves to other men?

Ranger Up Fun Fact: When New Hampshire adopted the phrase Live Free or Die as its state motto in 1945 it became the only state in the union whose motto was tattoo-worthy.
