It's Christmas, 1776. You're leading an army against the British Redcoats - the greatest military the world has ever seen. Your own military is mostly conscripts who are malnourished, freezing, often shoeless, and grossly untrained. Many of their conscriptions will be up soon and you will lose 1/3 of the small amount of firepower you have. Your fighting for a country that is completely fractioned - each of the thirteen with vastly different goals. Your only allie of substance is France.

But at least it's Christmas, the one day a year when you know the British will give you a respite from your constant stress and misery.

So what do you do? Build fires? Tell stories? Catch up on sleep?

If you're George Washington, you cross a frozen river in the middle of the night and attack two major British Armies and turn the tide of the freakin' war.

Then you oversee the signing of the Constitution of the United States and are unanimously elected to be President, make brilliant decision after brilliant decision in the best interests of the nation, even when those decisions prove unpopular.

Finally, despite total adoration by the public, you turn down a third term and an offered kingship because you believe adamently in the liberty you fought to protect.

Yeah, we have a bit of a man crush on this guy.
