Yellow Ribbon on Oak Tree Women's Shirt

This is the nicest shirt we've ever made. It's a deep scoop neck capsleeve shirt and it’s made with phenomenal material and printed with water-based inks that you cannot feel.

Our goal here was to create an awesome shirt for our female fans (we know we have been woefully inadequate) that you can wear out and show your support for our deployed troops without putting a giant cliché yellow ribbon on your body.

The yellow ribbon is an awesome symbol of solidarity with those that are deployed. Many believe that it originated from the handkerchiefs given to knights by maidens as they rode into battle. The knights would tie the cloth to their armor, thereby keeping their loved ones with them.

In more modern times, the yellow ribbon emerged during the civil war in smaller pockets, and then on a national scale during the Iran hostage crisis. From that time on, tying a ribbon to a tree on your front yard showed that your heart would never be full until the boys (and gals) came home.
